Sharing My Story to Share God’s Word
Jan and I married on August 17, 1973. Together, we’ve raised three daughters and one son. Our four children have given us eleven grandchildren, with one more on the way. Our children have also added five dogs and two cats to their families. Needless to say, when the family gets together (which is not often enough), the house is full. One of the more difficult tasks is figuring out where everyone will sleep when the family comes together.
My undergraduate degree from Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) is in Ministry. While a junior I began a weekend ministry and have been in ministry ever since. I have added graduate degrees in Theology and Apologetics (Cincinnati Christian Seminary) and Education (Loyola College of Maryland). For over twenty-five years, I served with three Christian colleges as a professor, academic dean, registrar, and executive vice president. I currently serve as the preaching minister with First Christian Church in Camp Point, IL, and have been with this congregation for eight years.
In 1979 I had the pleasure of co-authoring a book, Phases and Faces of the Moon, with Don Tingle. This publication was the result of a public debate held with two leaders of the Unification Church.
I have a new book, soon to be released, entitled God’s Glorious Inheritance. It is based on a series of sermons from the book of Ephesians.
